Thomas Bancroft m 1st Margaret Wright dau of Samuel Wright
of Springfield, MA, 8 Dec 1653, m 2nd ?. He d 14 Dec
1684. The widow m 2nd John Barber. Thomas Bancroft was the
son of John Bancroft and Hannah Duper or Draper. They
were m Dec. 3, 1650, and John died 6 Aug. 1662. The widow
married John London. John was the son of John Bancroft
who
came in the James from Eng. Apr. 1632, res Lynn, MA, died
1637. His widow Jane recieved 100 acres at Lynn.

Westfield, MA m John Stiles; Rebecca-23 Feb. 1680-Westfield,
MA m Samuel Gillett; Nathaniel- 24 Oct. 1683-Enfield,
CT-md. Ruth Hale; a John who d. Enfield 26 Feb. 1684/5.
Thomas the father died Enfield 14 Dec. 1684.15

I've often seen the statement that Margaret Wright was the
dau. of
Samuel of Northampton, but no proof ! Just as possible she
was the
sister of Abel of Springfield, no ?? Anyone seen anything
that sheds
light on all of this ? 15
