Re: Dupra vs. Duper. There is an article in The American Genealogist, Vol. 37 (1961) by George E.McCracken entitled "Bancrofts in the Connecticut Valley" from which I quote: "John, ferryman, d. Windsor 6 Aug. 1662; m. there 3 Dec. 1650, Hannah DUPPER, who bore to him John, Nathaniel, Ephraim, Hannah and Sarah." The article also speaks of Anna BANCROFT, m. Sargeant John GRIFFIN, and Thomas BANCROFT, m1. Margaret WRIGHT, m2. Hannah, "said to have been a GARDNER."13
