The daughters, too married into pominent families
which have numerous descendants. Susannah married
Timothy Wakefield, whose homestead still stands on
Wakefield Street; Hannah married James Weston who
bought one of the Pratt homesteads which is still
standing on Haverhill Street; Anna married Loea
Parker and they lived on Grove Street, in the house
standing at the corner of Forest Street, not far
from the site of the Slab City Mill, Loea and Anna
(Bancroft) Parker are ancestors of Reading's
painstaking historian, Loea Parker Howard, who has
done much to encouage the authors of this series of
homestead sketches.
