Raham was a Farmer. He was a soldier in the
Revolution, and he died while a member of the
Continental Army. Previous to 25 June 1778 he had
removed his family from Worcester, Mass., to
Warwick, where his cousin Ebenezer Bancroft (No.
41) was living. On that date he bought of Timothy
Sparhawk of Oxford, Mass., the 3rd Division
allotment drawn to house lot No. 25 in the first
Warwick Divisin, consisting of seventy-five acres.

Mass.) He and three of his sons served in the
revolutinary War. "28 Apr. 1786: The Pettition of
Dolly Bancroft, widow of Raham Bancroft late of
Warwick, Dec'd, humbly sheweth that the sd Raham
your Petitioner's husband died in the service of
the United States of America...." (Hampshire County
Probate Records, Northampton, Mass.) "Rayham
Bancraft, Reported died Jan. 31, 1782."

Revolutionary War, vol. 1, p. 559.) Administration
of his estate by John Goldsbury of Warwick was not
closed until December 1789, the widow being then
also deceased. He lived in Worcester and Warwick,
Mass.
